CAA/CALL Travel: Shaw Festival, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

Calvin celebrates its 150th anniversary during the 2025–2026 school year, and our travel program is joining the celebration by exploring 10 countries across six continents. Join us as we commemorate Calvin’s global reach with an exciting line-up of tours.
Tour Dates
This tour is being developed as a four-day or five-day tour for September 2025.
Highlights
The central component to this tour is viewing theater performances at the . Selections will include plays by both George Bernard Shaw and other playwrights. The tour will likely also include an excursion to Niagara Falls, a visit to a local winery, and free time to explore Niagara-on-the-Lake and other nearby towns.
Tour Hosts
Debra Freeberg, professor of theatre emerita, and Gary Schmidt, professor of English, have led multiple CALL and student tours to the Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario. They're looking forward to exploring new theaters with you at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake! Each day, they'll host a discussion of the performances viewed the day before.
Pricing
Final tour pricing is still being developed. Travel insurance will be offered via for an additional fee.

Joining the interest list simply means you’ll be notified directly when final plans are set; it does not reserve a spot on the tour. All passengers will be accepted on a first-come basis via our partner, Witte Travel, after tour registration opens.
