Tour status

This tour is currently full. You are welcome to join the wait list via Witte Travel; no payment is needed and you'll be notified if a cancellation makes a space available. You can also consider our June trip, which still has some openings.

Tour highlights

Join theatre experts Debra Freeberg and Gary Schmidt for a four-day trip to the Stratford Festival in Ontario. To make this experience available to more participants, we are offering a choice between two 2024 dates: June 25-28 or September 16-19.

The Stratford Festival has a different line-up of performances each week. The plays chosen for these tours:

Each itinerary includes daily group discussions led by Debra and Gary, a Festival Treasures tour of the warehouse and archives, plenty of free time, and all dinners included. See the for a brief synopsis of each performance.

Trip leaders

Debra Freeberg, professor of theatre emerita, and Gary Schmidt, professor of English, have led multiple CALL and student tours to the Shakespeare Festival. Each day, they'll host a discussion of the performances viewed the day before.

Cost, registration

The price for each tour is $1645 for double occupancy. The price for a solo room is $1970. Registration is now open on the .
