Alumni board evaluates opportunities
Under the leadership of 2017–18 alumni board president Sierra Yazzie Asamoa-Tutu ’06, president-elect Twana Graves Davis ’93, and secretary Nate Plantinga ’94, the Calvin Alumni Board met on campus Sept. 28 and 29 to begin a new year of advancing the work of the Calvin Alumni Association. Due to several alumni office staff changes, the association board is taking the opportunity this year to evaluate all of its work to determine what it keeps doing, what it stops doing, what it changes and what it might start doing.
At its fall meeting, the board heard from President Michael Le Roy, Career Center director TaRita Johnson as well as our alumni award winners. The board committees started their work for the year in the following areas: admissions, faculty engagement, careers, student support, communications and networks.
