Biography

Experience

I grew up in Minnesota, actively participating in ministries that supported refugee populations and at-risk families both locally and globally. My experiences included visiting places like Haiti, and later, studying abroad in South Africa. These experiences fueled my passion for learning from and understanding diverse perspectives and cultures.  I went on to work in media marketing and development for several nonprofit organizations in Haiti. In 2023, my husband Parker and I relocated to Grand Rapids, where I am now supporting incoming international students while pursuing a master's degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration at Calvin. I love being active outdoors, watching sporting events, and drinking good coffee!

Favorite Food

Passion fruit and anything mango – mango juice, mango curry, mango salsa. My favorite dish is Haitian diri djondjon (mushroom rice) with fried plantains and pikliz (spicy coleslaw).

Why I Love Calvin

Calvin’s intentional integration of faith and learning ensures that neither aspect is downplayed or sacrificed for the other. It’s a holistic and transformative approach to education and student development This approach creates a rigorous and meaningful learning environment aimed at developing both knowledge and skills, AND character and faith.
