Laura Damon

Student Success Specialist

Biography

Laura received her BA in Global and Area Studies from Michigan State University, where she specialized in International Development and African Studies. She then spent 4 years working in refugee resettlement and immigration services in Grand Rapids. Laura then lived abroad for 2 years - traveling, volunteering, and trekking in 20 countries, which led her to work with some wonderful educational programs in Nepal and Kenya that led her to a new passion for supporting students in higher education. She now works as a Student Success Specialist and Academic Counselor, helping first-year students in their transition to 黄大仙高手论坛, with a focus on those from our international student community.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family and volunteering as an ESL tutor.
