Specialty/Certification: Vital Stimulation, Videoflouroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS), and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES).

Clinic Hours: Tuesday 8:00am-6:30pm and Thursday 8:00am-6:30pm

Michelle is a Speech-Language Pathologist working part time here at the Calvin College Rehabilitation Services (CCRS). She has extensive experience in speech-language pathology serving a variety of client populations. Specific areas of experience include working with both pediatric clients as well as adolescents and adults in areas of Brain injury, swallow disorders (dysphagia), speech disorders (phonological and articulation), and language disorders (apraxia and aphasia).

Michelle has worked in a variety of facilities including inpatient, outpatient and home care settings through Holland Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation on the Stroke team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and has worked as a graduate supervisor supervising students on-campus at Calvin College Communication Clinic prior to taking the position at CCRS upon it’s opening in August of 2015. Michelle currently works part time at CCRS managing client caseload, supervising students in addition to working part time at Harbor Rehabilitation a Brain Injury Rehabilitation company providing home and community based therapy for clients who have suffered brain injury.
