Sherita Washington

Assistant Professor, Program Director of Human Services

Biography

Sherita has earned a Bachelor鈥檚 and Master鈥檚 degree in Social Work with a concentration in Community Development from Norfolk State University, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and she is currently a Ph.D. student at Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School.

Professor Washington has taught in Christian Higher Education for over a decade. Her experience includes teaching various on-campus and online social work, human services, sociology, interdisciplinary, and ministry courses. She is passionate about social and racial justice. Professor Washington鈥檚 mantra is 鈥渂eing comfortable with uncomfortable conversations.鈥 Her goal is to inspire, influence, and transform the lives of others, empowering them to create positive change in their own lives and the world. Her greatest joy comes from teaching, preaching, and encouraging others.
