Teams
7 on 7, six players and a goalie.
Game Duration
Two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime. If teams are tied after second 20 minutes, there will be a 5 minute overtime, which is played that the team that scores first will be the winner (golden goal). If teams are still tied after the overtime session, then there will be a five person shoot out, alternating shots. Time will be continuous unless the ball gets stuck in the netting.
High Balls
Any high ball (ball touching the ceiling, or anything hanging from the ceiling or touching anything "gray") will result in a kick for the opposite team. Please try to keep balls as low as possible. If problems arise (breakage of anything) rules may have to be modified to include penalties of offenders. If the problem persists, games may have to be cancelled.
Free Kicks
All free kicks are indirect kicks, which must be touched by another player before entering the goal.
Goalkeeper
Goalkeeper cannot throw or kick the ball over half court. Penalty free kick for the opposite team where the ball crossed the half court line. The goalkeeper is able to pick up the ball with his hands within the small box of the tennis court.
Keeping score
Teams are responsible for keeping score. An IM staff member will monitor time.
Time and Player Specification
A maximum of 5 players will play for a team at one time. A team must have at least 4 people to play. Substitutions may be made at any time during the game as long as the original player runs out of play before the substitute enters.
If a ball hits the diagonal netting, it is considered out of bounds.
