Ongoing support of scholarship
The CCIB works to attract, retain, encourage, and grow Calvin business faculty by providing ongoing support of scholarship and engagement through faculty fellowships and grants. The expectation is that all funds given will be used to promote improved teaching and learning, on behalf of faculty and students, and to support the scholarly pursuits of our faculty.

Small Grants
Calvin faculty members may apply for this grant to cover small expenses associated with teaching, continued scholarship, course development, faculty development or engagement.
- Grant amount: up to $500
- Covered expenses: travel, supplies, student assistants or researchers, stipends
- Eligibility: Calvin faculty聽
- Deadline: request any time throughout the year
Large Grants
Calvin Business faculty may apply for this grant to cover large expenses associated with continued scholarship, course development, faculty development or engagement
- Grant amount: $501 to $6,000
- Covered expenses: travel, supplies, student assistants or researchers, stipends*
- Eligibility: Calvin Business faculty
- Deadline: applications will be reviewed throughout the year

Awards may be used to fund research seminars or research assistants, to assist with publications, to develop new approaches to curriculum, to enhance professional development, and much more.
Not necessarily. Any Calvin faculty member, regardless of discipline, may apply for a CCIB grant. However, the project presented must be focused on some business or business-related topic. The project's principle investigator or project leader should also be a Calvin business faculty member. Grant requests from Calvin Business faculty receive priority in funding decisions.
Yes, though priority is given to projects that have no other means of support. Priority is also given to research projects that involve students or business practitioners.
Typically, awards and grants will be given to a project once, and one per year per faculty member.
